Research

When I first heard there was a field of mathematics called Graph Theory, I thought it was all about how we can graph data using the xy-plane. I was pleasantly surprised this was not the case...

For me, a graph is a network of dots connected by lines. These dots and lines could represent many things. Social Networks such as Instagram might use dots to represent people and the lines connecting them might be followers. At the same time, companies like Amazon use dots might represent houses and the lines connecting them might represent roads. With this representation, they use Graph Theory to determine the shortest route connecting all houses needing shipments.

Wherever there is a network, there is Graph Theory. If you would like a taste of what a graph theorist does or would like to see some of my own research check out the following links!
